Following the establishment of a Medical Genetic Unit in Yaoundé Cameroon, the consultation of a mother of two sons affected with mental retardation allowed a molecular analysis that revealed Fragile X syndrome (FXS).
The Division of Human Genetics, Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Cape Town hosted 230 attendees (comprising 210 learners and 20 teachers) from 23 schools across the Western Cape Province on Monday, the 26th of August 2024.
