DS-I Africa: Virtual Networking Exchange

PUBGEM-Africa had the opportunity of presenting the topic "Citizen Science as Public Engagement for Data Science ad Health Research in Africa" at the DS-I Africa virtual networking exchange

The PUBGEM-Africa team presented on developing public engagement models during the 6^th DS-I Africa Virtual Networking Exchange on Wednesday, 30 April 2025, 2-5 pm CAT. The theme for this event was focused on Sustainable Partnerships for Research.

This work, which forms a key part of the project and consortium efforts, highlights community-led approaches with a strong emphasis on digital tools (such as citizen science) and ethical research practices. The findings call for these models to be scaled across the continent to advance health equity.
