In support of World Hearing Day 2026

In recognition of World Hearing Day 2026, PUBGEM-Africa has developed a short educational video aimed at raising awareness about hearing health for children.

Hearing plays a critical role in a child’s speech, language, learning, and social development. Yet many cases of hearing loss in children are preventable or manageable when identified early. Raising awareness about the causes of hearing loss and the importance of early care is an essential step toward improving long-term outcomes for children.

This video was created to help children understand what can lead to hearing loss, what they can do to protect their ears and what they should do if they suspect they have hearing loss.

We encourage parents, caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals to share this resource with children, to help spread awareness about hearing health.
